ADB give more loans for poverty reduction
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng yesterday approved the results of negotiations for the treaty and related documents on an Asia Development Bank (ADB) loan to finance the poverty reduction program V, sub-program I. The Governor of the State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) was authorized to ink the treaty with representatives of ADB.
| Earlier, on December 20, 2007, SBV Governor Nguyễn Văn Giàu and Mr. Ayumi Konishi, Country Director and chief representative of ADB to Việt Nam, inked a treaty on the loan to finance the poverty reduction program IV, valuing US $15 million. This is a sum co-donated by ADB under the 6 th Poverty Reduction Support Credit Program (PRSC 6) of the World Bank. So far, ADB has co-financed US $52 million for PRSC programs 3 to 6, focusing on three fields: sustainable growth, comprehensive social development, and national administration with the goal of poverty reduction.
